Do you have trouble sleeping?

Do you have trouble sleeping?

Who has trouble sleeping at night?

I am and always have been a light sleeper. My ex used to have to get ready for work in another room (he was military and had to be there at like 6 or 7…sorry hun not getting up with you!) I have always heard every peep from the kids. Once, I lived in an apartment on a main road with a pothole out front. OMG. I had to sleep with ear plugs when it was warm because we had no a/c so the windows were open. It was pure torture!

In my current home, the builders apparently forgot to put insulation between my townhouse and the one next door…no bueno. My bedroom is adjacent to their living room, which means my head was just a couple feet from their tv and subwoofer. Not exactly conducive to good sleep! I reversed my room so that my bed is now on the opposite wall, but it was still much too noisy.  Add my heavy footed teenager to the bedroom above me, and it’s just plain a recipe for disaster. No one likes a cranky mom!

Enter an item sent from the angels above: the Homedics Deep Sleep. I am so in love with this white noise machine! It has multiple settings, each designed to help with a different issue. There’s one each for outside noise, in room noise, calming, and relaxation. What I also love is that in addition to volume control, you have the ability to change the tone of each sound to be deeper or higher pitched. The combinations are endless. It has so much more than just 4 sound settings! Plus, you can set it to turn off on a timer or stay on all night. (I leave it on all night.) It’s small enough to travel with as well, which makes staying at hotels, etc so much more enjoyable. No more waking to every voice in the hallway, etc.

I sleep so much better with this machine! I even got one for my mom for Mother’s Day, and considering she was still asleep this morning when I dropped my kids off at 9:30…I’d say she is sleeping blissfully too!
